St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir- Piano Accompanist
Job description
St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir seeks a piano accompanist for regular Thursday evening rehearsals in Bury St Edmunds and concerts at home, in other UK destinations, and on a bi-annual foreign tour to Hungary in early June 2025.

We seek an intuitive and instinctively fluent pianist equally at home with an electronic keyboard and across a wide range of repertoire styles including pop and classical as well as the great Welsh hymns which are the foundational core of male voice singing.
We pay a fee for rehearsals and a higher fee for concerts. Details will be available to applicants invited to audition.

If your application is of interest to us, you will be invited to come to Bury St Edmunds on a Thursday evening, in June/July when you will audition by sharing the rehearsal with our current outstanding accompanist, Calvin Goymer. You will also meet the choir committee. We hope to make an appointment not later than the end of July.
In the Autumn Term (commencing 5th September), the successful candidate will attend and share the rehearsal playing with Calvin Goymer, our current accompanist, taking full responsibility from the first rehearsal of January 2025.
