Beat This CIC is a not-for-profit music and arts organisation providing creative experiences for children, young people and adults with additional needs in Greater Peterborough. It is a small social enterprise directed by volunteers that was founded in 2009 by Lee Ashton and Ben Turner.
Our key aims are: 1.To provide young people, and adults with additional needs access to music and creative experiences. 2.To provide opportunities for young people, and adults with additional needs to broaden their musical skills and creative interests. 3.To Identify, nurture and support young people who wish to further there musical and creative careers. 4.To support and provide professional development to our practitioners and volunteers. 5.To collaborate with projects that are involved in other art forms, musical genres, and creative media
We are a registered Arts Award Centre and can offer young people between 11 – 25 yrs the opportunity to take an Arts Award qualification.
Volunteering: We are proud to say that we are managed and run solely by volunteers and believe that this has helped to shape us an organisation and grow organically.
