Since 2012 we have been fortunate enough to be successful grant holders for Youth Music and have been delivering our Sound and Vision music mentoring programme using a variety of creative and holistic mentoring methods since this time.
Our diverse and experienced team enable us to tailor each session to meet the needs of the individual participant or group. We are passionate about using creative activities e.g. visual art (including; digital / technology-based art) and music making (including; traditional and world instruments, digital music production, lyrics and vocals) to encourage and support people to reach their potential and overcome personal barriers. We achieve this by combining creative activities with holistic mentoring and functional / personal development support (PSHE e.g. cooking and nutrition, C-card and sexual health) enabling us to support individuals to identify their barriers and find suitable ways to overcome them.
We know that supporting participants in building their confidence, sense of self-worth and self-respect unlocks their learning potential. We believe that the arts provide an ideal vessel to achieve this as. Alongside skilled bespoke programme design, fun and creativity this recipe can provide an ideal route into learning and progression, particularly for those who have lacked confidence, motivation or the skills to engage & excel in other learning settings.
