Amy Wilson

I am attending the University of Bristol studying for an MSc Social and Cultural theory, with particular focus on music and identity.

I am also managing a youth singing project for Wren Music in Devon.

I formerly worked in the Grants and Learning Team at Youth Music - with regional responsibility for the South East and East Midlands, and a thematic specialism in non-formal pedagogy and assessing quality of provision.

I wrote my undergraduate dissertation on the effect that two specific factors have on the social outcomes of participatory, community, youth music projects. These factors were the musical proficiency of the music leader and the genre.

I am particularly keen on folk music.
