Using and working with musical instruments in early years classes and setting

Event description

In this evening session we will share experiences of using musical instruments both untuned and tuned with babies and children in their early years. We will ask ourselves why we are using them, what are the favourites amongst our tiny musicians and discuss theories behind practice. We will also discuss the challenges we face? This approach will aim to inspire each of us to broaden and enhance our own music provision using our own style. Come and join us to share your views on managing, improvisation, exploring sounds, small formal group work and more. Please bring your favourite musical instrument to this session.

Who is the session for?

-Early years practitioners (teachers, nursery staff, children centre staff) who want to gather material and ideas for music activities, and musicians and early years music practitioners who want to expand and develop their own resources.
