The Music Cube is a music school located in Caversham, Reading. We provide creative music lessons and are also home to the Yamaha Music School in Reading. Our school offers music courses for ages 6+ through to adult students, and we teach Yamaha's world-renowned pedagogy.

We are thrilled to announce that our music school is expanding, and we are seeking reliable teachers to join our Yamaha Music School department.


Role Description

This is a part-time / freelance role for a Vocal & Keyboard / Piano Teacher. The Vocal & Keyboard / Piano Teacher will be responsible for providing group based vocal classes, including some piano / keyboard playing skills using the Yamaha teaching method. The teacher will also assist students through exam grades and preparation for performances and complete administration tasks where required.



You will receive comprehensive training at the Yamaha Music Centre in Milton Keynes, where you will learn the Yamaha teaching pedagogy.

Training Dates:

Basic Training: August 2024

Advanced Training: February 2025

Note: Additional training dates may be offered

Experience / Qualifications

  • Vocal & Piano / Keyboard skills to a proficient level
  • Patience and a passion for music education - experience is preferred, but it's not a requirement (training and support is provided)
  • Ability to work well with students of all ages
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • DBS
  • Own transport required
