About

Since 2007 I have been fortunate enough to help lead the sustainable growth of a creative education charity (Pedestrian) in the East Midlands. It's the ever growing staff team and the individuals and communities that we serve that make my professional life so rewarding.

I am passionate about sparking and supporting genuine collaboration and partnership working; creating that beautiful space where specialist contribution, personal and organisational challenge, and a good dose of risk taking come together to make things happen. Meaningful participation is at the heart of that; enabling everyone to be the best they can be.

Leading an organisation that started off in 1997 as an experimental music organisation has been and continue to be very challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Growing our work and creating projects that offer impact, legacy, and change for young people and their communities is at the heart of our purpose. We particularly focus on serving the hardest to reach families and communities through musical, cultural and educational engagement.

To date we have delivered over 8,500 individual workshops. Our project portfolio extends to accredited music programmes through to enrichment in youth work and personal and social development for very young children. We are led by an outcomes approach with high quality outputs and messages that clearly respond to identified needs in full focus throughout.
