I recently have been working with a young person called Sophie (Ant & Dec's biggest fan ever may I add)Β She is 16 and has downsyndrome & we have written an original song in which Sophie references Ant & Dec to be able to watch and or share her video so we are looking at trying to make that happen too!Β Β Lockdown has been difficult forΒ everyoneΒ in its own way however Sophies positivity needs to be shared in some capacity even if it is to you guys here on the blog!!Β πŸ™‚

SophieΒ & I started to JamΒ using the dining table and the ukelele, she started to laugh and we were jamming and joking with different strums of the uke and with her tapping different beats against the table. She wanted to make a song called Good things are Coming. (which was the slogan on her t-shirt) we took a few chords and started to write out things that we were looking forward to once lockdown was over. We came out with a spoken poem (below)

"Good Things are coming, coming round the bend, looking forward to being with my friends, Sophie's top says it gotta be true, Good things are coming there coming to you, ohhhhhohhhh, Looking forward to sharing my time, good things are coming its gonna be fine, smile & be strong & give us a wave. Lets all be kind thats how we behave, Ohhhhhhohhhh, Thats how we behave, S worked really hard on rhyming in this project and came up with some great examples with a small amount of support. Good Things are coming, Good Things are coming, Good Things are coming, Good Things are coming to you. <3

We then came up with a round of chords that we played a few time that allowed the words to fit nicely thus producing theis amazing heart warming song!Β

We then enjoy our Thursday Night Jams and set up the ipad and see what happens some of which is absolute TV gold!Β
