Arts Award Network Cluster Meeting - Richmond
Event description
Please come and join Sound Connections and Richmond Music Trust for a network meeting focusing on Arts Award for teachers and practitioners working with children and young people in music and the arts, in schools and music hubs. There will be light refreshments available from 4pm and the meeting will start at 4.30pm.
Sound Connections will present all the latest information about Arts Award, looking at new and exciting ways of delivering the Arts Award programme. You will be able to find out about the different Arts Award qualifications, Arts Award training and support and learn more about setting up partnerships and networks. If you are a newcomer to Arts Award please come along to find out more and get some advice and support. The meeting is an opportunity to make connections, build new partnerships and to share learning and best practice.
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification for children and young people aged 5 – 25 offering five different levels: Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Encouraging involvement across the arts, Arts Award gives young people the opportunity to explore, enjoy and benefit from their local arts opportunities and creates links to creative organisations and professionals.
You will also be able to find out more about the work of Richmond Music Trust and about partnership projects between schools and arts organisations.
There will be opportunities for discussion, sharing new ideas and best practice.
We would like to welcome music hubs, schools and arts organisations from all neighbouring boroughs and across London to attend.
This network meeting is supported by A New Direction and Richmond Music Trust.
