Bridging the gap: towards a 21st Century model music curriculum
Event description
Please join Youth Music and our partners for Bridging the gap: towards a model curriculum for 21st Century musicians – a free event to launch the findings of our four-year action research programme Exchanging Notes. Exchanging Notes was designed to bring about fresh thinking in music education, and evaluate the outcomes of sustained engagement with music on a core group of young people. We worked with seven lead organisations and Birmingham City University was our action research partner. Read more at network.youthmusic.org.uk/exchangingnotes
This conference and networking event launches the findings of the research and asks how we can work together to re-imagine school music to ensure it is relevant, inclusive and fit for the 21st Century.
There will be speakers, debates, live music, networking and posh nibbles.
We hope to see you there.
