Creative Interventions with Looked After Children and Young People

Event description

Free online training for music educators on Thursday 3rd February, 4.30-6.30pm!

The training explores 'Creative Interventions with Looked After Children and Young People' and will be led by freelance Arts Project Manager, Trainer & Facilitator Jane Gray.

Jane will share her extensive experience in education and participation with brilliant children and young people, including those with care experience, young mums, young carers and victims of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

What is it? This event was originally designed as a face to face practitioner networking event for music practitioners but has been repurposed following the Omicron outbreak.

The event now has a broader focus; creative interventions for vulnerable children & young people and will feature a guest speaker, Q & A and discussion groups.

Who is it for? Music Educators who work with children, young people or adults; we welcome existing or emerging community musicians, music leaders, school based and peripatetic music teachers, community based band and choir leaders.

Where? Online via Microsoft Teams

What should I bring? Please bring to the event some thoughts relating to music practice with vulnerable young people. Please consider: • Something positive – a success story you’d like to share, an effective teaching approach or successful project, something that has inspired you • A challenge – any burning issues or “hot topics” • Any questions for the speaker
