Music and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Course
Event description
September sees the start of MAC Makes Music's second intensive music training programme.
This course is ideal for those who are passionate about working with children and young people with (SEMH) Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, with a particular focus on those excluded or at risk of exclusion.
The course content will include practical music skills such as: rhythm, voice work, improvisation and song-writing. Additional skills will include: leadership, facilitation, group work, behaviour management and reflective practice.
The training will be spread across 8 days, between September 2019 – January 2020, with placement opportunities throughout. All training days will run from 10:00 - 17:00.
