Now recruiting: Swan Street Collective

We’re looking for new members for the Swan Street Collective 2019 – a musical ensemble of young disabled people.

If you’re 13-21, from Greater Manchester and have a musical flair – this is a great opportunity to explore ways to make music, meet new people, and have fun!

This free project will be run by a team of professional musicians led by Kenton Mann from Music Unlimited. Family and carers are welcome to stay and observe sessions.

What’s involved

As a Collective you’ll work together to create new music using a variety of instruments, and in a variety of styles and genres.

Sessions will involve experimentation, improvisation and composition. You’ll also work with Drake Music Lab North to adapt and develop brand new accessible instruments for the Collective.

The project will finish with a special performance in the Barbirolli Room at the Bridgewater Hall.
