Learner to Leader - Day One

Learner To Leader is a developmental project that encourages and nurtures life-long learning and progression through the power of music-making. This is a two-tier project that develops a team of Assistant Music Leaders for a new music workforce whilst simultaneously delivering high quality music-making activity for young people to create immediate and lasting impacts for their social development and musical progression. The project is delivered in 2 phases with time to pause and reflect in between so we may improve the delivery programme where appropriate/required. 

Today saw the start of our first Music Residency week within our two year programme!

We successfully recruited four Assistant Music Leaders who are gaining valuable experience of delivering a specialism whilst gaining their own Education and Training qualification. 

Our Music Assistant Leaders have gotten stuck in with learning as much as possible through their qualification and have been able to fully embrace music delivery (with support) to local young people. 

As Day One draws to an end our young people are excited to be returning tomorrow to continue their work, and progressing with their musical abilities.
