BBC Performing Arts Fund Music Fellowships Scheme - deadline approaching!

Deadline for eligibility documentation is 21st September - and following that the scheme will close at 5pm on Monday 15 October OR when the first 100 applications are received.

The Music Fellowships scheme aims to support individuals through the early stages of their music careers; helping to establish themselves in the professional world through bespoke placements within existing music organisations.

Rather than awarding grants directly to individuals themselves, the BBC Performing Arts Fund is looking for applications from music companies, organisations, venues and festivals from across the UK to host a Fellow with a grant of up to £10,000.

Fellows should be ambitious, willing to take on a challenge and looking for ways to increase their profile and take the next step in their careers.

Organisations should be willing to offer an amazing opportunity to the Fellow – tailored to the individual Fellow and giving them the benefit and support of all aspects of the organisation from mentoring, performance opportunities, and training to access to equipment, space and audiences.

The Fellowship will lead to an exciting new creative network in the music sector, supported, developed and ready to launch their professional careers.

Organisations must first complete an online eligibility quiz and post supporting information to the fund by 5pm on Friday 21 September.  The main application will close on either 15th October or when 100 applications have been received - whichever is sooner.

Further details are available on the BBC Performing Arts Fund website.
