Youth Music Funding programme update

Here's an update of where we stand after the first round of applications, and an opportunity for you to tell us what you think about the changes we've made to our funding programme

We're really pleased with the number of applications, and thrilled that there has been so much interest in the programme.

We've received applications to the value of £24.37 million, which is unfortunately more than we’ll be able to fund, as our annual grant-making budget is around £9.2 million.

This is just one funding round (we have two rounds per year) and we will only be able to fund around one in six of the applications we received for this round.

In this assessment phase, I have no doubt that I will be inspired by all the proposals that have come in - so thank you all for taking the time to submit them.

If you are one of the 83% that is not successful this time around, do not be disheartened! We have been working hard on establishing this fantastic Youth Music Network to make all the resources, people, events, connections and facilities you could possibly want available to you and your peers.
