Urban Music in Northamptonshire - #2

This is the second of two posts (the first one is HERE) about the work students from a local PRU have been achieving with our Musical Inclusion Team.

Here, we've have an excellent track from a couple of the students were working on this year. 

This is a good example of how having several team members - Daniel Johnson (DJ, music producer), Anna Marie Whittaker Johnson (vocals) and Jon Kendall (song-writing, guitar) - with different skills working at the same unit bringing things together, has really helped to draw out the young people's talent.

One of the biggest challenges here has been that, due to operational constraints at the unit, it's not been possible to get all the musicians and students together at the same time. However, working around this, the team and the students have come up with some great material... and the students have really benefited from having specialist support in specific areas (e.g. vocal technique) to hone their skills and contribute to the final production.
