Event description
YGN X Youth Music: Build a Portfolio Music Career
Tileyard Studios, Tuesday 25 June 2019, 6:30 Networking, 7:30 Panel
How can you balance your creative work or day job with a side hustle, freelancing or music education projects?
Portfolio careers or being a "slashy": Musician-slash-Educator-slash-Songwriter-slash-Producer-slash-Faciliator-slash-Employee-slash-Entrepreneur is a way of life for many Young Guns.
You might be a musician, artist or composer, work in education or hold down a main job alongside developing your artistic career. Or you may be working a 9-5 and progressing in your career whilst also developing a business or side-hustle.
We'll be talking about balancing your creative career with your 'day job', the opportunities to pursue a music career with social purpose, how to set up a freelance side-hustle and how to combine freelance and employee life successfully.
