Partners in The Arts Community
Lighthouse Studio Project attended *North Liverpool Academy’s first ever Arts Festival. The event was advertised on social media and open to the public. Its aim was to promote the Arts and careers that young people in the community could consider. We have worked with *NLA and we are pleased that there is a firm commitment going forward to work together in the future on events that will benefit all our young people giving them opportunities for collaborations and performing. Kate Wheeler the Curriculum Leader for Music at the school organised the evening event. Other Arts organisation from around the city were also invited including one of our other partners Resonate Hub. It was particularly good to see young participants from our project performing at their school during the night.
It was great to see the interest from the young people in possible Arts careers they could enter. The Arts Festival also provided a great opportunity to network with other Arts organisations across the city.
Resonate Hub, led by Jonathan Dickson is Liverpool's Music service and operates as a gateway for Liverpool's young musicians, meaning over 13,000 pupils in Liverpool have regular access to outstanding music opportunities which will impact on their lives and enhance our city. Resonate Hub provided instruments for all the young people attending Lighthouse Studio Project. Again, we are fortunate that Resonate Hub are keen to partner with us going forward. Without the real value added to us via the free loan of instruments for our project it is true to say that it would have been impossible to facilitate main aspects of the project.
Going forward we know that we will be able to maintain a depth of partnership that will develop further.
