Arts Award Week: celebrating 10 years of Arts Award
Happy birthday Arts Award! Here at Youth Music we're big fans of the accreditation, and encourage and support the projects we invest in to offer it. It's a fantastic way for young people's achievement in music-making to be recognised. From Saturday 2 - Sunday 10 July it's Arts Award Week, with activities taking place nationwide. Here's all the info you need to know...

- On Tuesday 5 July there's going to be an Arts Award Twitter Party for young people aged 13-25, hosted by @ArtsAwardVoice - get all the details here
- Tonight (Thursday 30 June) there's a Gold Expo event in London celebrating 10 years of Gold Arts Awards. Reality Boots, a band formed at Skimstone Arts in Newcastle, will be performing. Darren, a member of Reality Boots, explains how the project has changed his life.
- GemArts, an organisation supported by Youth Music in the North East, have been having great success with Arts Award, which gives us an excuse to share this fantastic video made by some of their young participants - Mega Boyz Swag by Mega Boyz.
